The 2025 Sparta Community Garage Sale will be Saturday, May 17th & Sunday, May 18th from 9am to 4pm, rain or shine. Be sure to visit the events page HERE to register. Participants can participate a single day or both days, with a maximum of 75 households participating.

FAQs
How do I get involved as a sale host?
To be a participant go to our RSVP page and register for the sale based on your street location. Remember the more people on your street the better the turn out for all, so be sure to encourage your neighbors to sign up too.
How can I make my sale successful?
Preparation is half the battle. Be sure to organize your area and items. Have items cleaned, displayed, and priced. It’s a good idea to have cash to make change and cashless payment options. Also be sure to have an area where people can park and that signs are visable.
What supplies do I need?
We will provide maps, signs, some price stickers, and a tips for a successful sale to all participants in advance.
Any tips on running the sale?
Start on time, but be prepared for early birds. Items should be priced, but certainly you can adjust prices and bargain as needed. At the end of the day consider discounting items or bundling. If you have digital payment options they are great, but cash is still king so have change ready.
What about advertising the sale?
We will provide yard signs*, do digital & social media advertising, and have the sale be advertised in print as well. The best way to promote your sale is word of mouth though, so be sure to tell your friends and share the sale on details social media.
